Are you insured?
Yes, Portraits of Blessings is insured. If your venue requires your vendor to have liability business insurance, we're covered!
What if your camera fails?
I have two! I shoot with two cameras and I have multiple memory cards, lenses, and flashes. My camera even has two memory card slots. So if one card decided to malfunction, every image I take is still saved on a second card inside the camera.
What precautions do you take to protect my images?
As soon as I get home, I backup my memory cards to an external hard drive, my desktop, and all Weddings are also saved to an online storage cloud.
Do you require a retainer?
Yes. Portraits require a 50% retainer and Weddings require a $250-$500 retainer. Depends on the package. All retainers must be paid online, unless we've made a cash/check/money order agreement to be delivered in person only to Missouri City, Texas. The balance is due 7 days before the Portraits or Wedding.
Is my retainer refundable?
No it is not. Portraits can be rescheduled and the retainer will be applied to the rescheduled date. If a Wedding is postponed or cancelled, the retainer is not refundable. It also cannot be transferred to another date or to another person.
What if I need to reschedule?
Your session starts at the scheduled time, so please be courteous. If for any reason you are not able to make it to your scheduled Portrait session, please contact me within 24 ours of your session to reschedule. If the session time/day/location needs to be changed when Portraits of Blessings is already on site, a $30 fee will be added to your rescheduled session or remaining balance. This does not apply if we reschedule due to weather.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes. I can email you a link where you can make as many payments of any amount as you'd like until your balance is paid in full.
Will my final pictures have your logo?
No. Only images I share on social media will have my logo.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes I do! I'm fluent in Spanish, so don't worry, I can tell grandma to smile!
When does my print credit expire?
All print credits will expire 60 days from the day you receive your images.
How many pictures will I get?
Portraits receive an average of 15 images per half hour. With weddings there are a lot of factors that effect the overall number. Such as, if we have a big gap between the ceremony and the reception, if you go with a package that includes a second photographer, or if you have my coverage end before the reception is over. Typically, I deliver between 50-75 images per hour of service. This is not guaranteed, but it is very likely it will be more then that.
How long will it take to receive my pictures?
Turnaround time for Portraits is 2-3 weeks. Turnaround time for your completed Wedding DVD/USB is 4-6 weeks. All DVD's, USB's or prints will be mailed unless arrangements have been made to be picked up from Missouri, Texas. Please allow 2-6 weeks for prints and product orders.
What if I lose my DVD/USB?
I cannot be held liable to keep your images stored after I deliver them to you. However, I do! A digital download gallery link is $25, one time download only. Replacement copies of your DVD are $25 each and replacement copies of your USB are $50 each.
Do I get a copyright release?
No you do not. A copyright release would give you complete ownership over the images I take. That would mean I could never use them again. However, I offer a "PRINT RELEASE" so that I may use your images in my portfolio, marketing, and social media. This gives you permission to print the images to any way, shape, or form. Prints, canvases, albums, coffee mugs, etc. Printing can be done anywhere you choose but you also have the option to order professional quality prints directly from your gallery at an affordable price.
Do you charge a travel fee?
If over 30 miles from Missouri City, Tx, I do. The charge is .65c per mile round trip.
Do you travel outside of Houston area?
For Weddings I do. The travel charges are different for San Antonio, Austin, or Dallas... so we can talk about that.
Do you have props?
I do not. I prefer to keep my sessions simple. Besides, if I used my own props then they would be repetitive and they wouldn't be unique to your session. If you wish to incorporate your own props, please feel free to do so. Make it your own!
What if I don't like social media?
All sessions will have a sneak peek posted to Facebook, Instagram and my blog. If you wish to refrain from internet exposure, please communicate your preferences before signing a contract. I can accommodate your preference for double your Portrait session cost. Weddings will have a $500 fee for this preference.
Where will my session take place?
I am happy to make suggestions in choosing locations, but the client has the overall decision in selecting their outdoor location. You can find examples of my locations under my portfolio tab. Any location 30 miles outside of Missouri City, Texas is subject to a travel charge of .65c per mile round trip.
